Editor's review
The need to collect more and more email IDs have become a perennial need for email marketers. While normal email finder tools typically search the web for email IDs, finding a comprehensive tool that can draw IDs from every possible place is hard to find. One of the very few tools which can cover a wide array of email sources is Mail Hunter 2.85 which can extract email IDs from document files, from running programs such as chat applications and also from the web. This rather potent tool is exceedingly easy to use and can even collate email IDs from the Windows clipboard.
When you launch the Mail Hunter 2.85 application you are greeted with multi-tabbed interface that presents different screens for searching specific areas. So you will find a dedicated screen to extract email IDs from programs and you can choose to cover browsers, chat programs and applications like notepad etc. Using the Search the Internet tab you can force the program to visit different URLs and collate email IDs that appear on those domains. The application gives you the option to restrict searches to certain file types. You can even filter the email IDs based on your criteria and customize the application using the Settings tab. Again with the Hunt files tab you can go through a whole bouquet of documents including PDF and Doc files and pick up any email IDs that they contain. Using the statistics tab you can have a quick snapshot of the email IDs you have managed to garner and can export them into an Excel file or even an XML document.
Based on its exceptional capability to dig out email IDs from the web, from files and even from live programs, the Mail Hunter 2.85 application earns a score of four rating stars.
